How We Validate

Verifier Comment

Watching the gameplay footage, I figured it'd demand a rig similar to Fortnite or Apex. But after pulling the actual benchmark numbers? I was blown away by how insanely lightweight it is. It easily takes the crown for the easiest-to-run game we've tested on the site.To be fair, the visual fidelity doesn't hold a candle to 2026 AAA releases, so the high frames make sense. Still, being able to run on a potato is a massive winand basically mandatoryfor a multiplayer roguelike like this.

Missing the 'Verified' badge, but it's light enough to run flawlessly on Steam Decks and gaming laptops. It slams the CPU pretty hard though, so grab a chip a couple tiers above recommended to avoid bottlenecking.

The verdict is estimated based on hardware specifications, assuming a game resolution of 720p and settings at Medium or lower. A 'PLAYABLE' status does not guarantee actual gameplay performance.

Focus your build on the CPU, RAM, and storage. Pick your GPU based on whatever else you play. Treat the official specs as a baseline, but definitely step up two tiers on the CPU to eliminate stuttering.

Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core GPU Benchmark & FPS Guide

For a 2026 release, this game is so light on the GPU you barely have to think about it. Modern entry-level cards can easily push 4K, meaning your GPU budget for this game is basically zero.

Target Mapping

It's light enough to run 1080p on a GTX 1050 Ti. While running ancient silicon is terrible for power draw, not having to upgrade your current rig is a massive win. If you're pushing 4K, though, you'll still need at least an older mid-range card, so budget accordingly.

The Bottom Line

The Game's Verdict: Recommended Specs & Grade

It skips the hyper-realistic visual arms race typical of 2026 releases. Instead, it strikes a perfect balance: looking gorgeous enough to immerse you in its universe while remaining lightweight enough to run on a potato, maximizing its player base.

It doesn't hammer your GPU or gobble up VRAM like most modern titles. Even a bottom-tier card will easily crush 1080p. Since it's a co-op roguelite FPS, your main priority is killing 1% lows to prevent stuttering. You're better off allocating your budget toward a solid CPU, fast RAM, and an NVMe SSD rather than overspending on graphics.

At the end of the day, for a game dropping in 2026, it's wild that you can get a butter-smooth experience on a dirt-cheap, multi-generation-old used rig. Not having to drop a grand on a brand-new system or shell out for a GPU upgrade is a massive W.
